The only museum in the world giving a wide description of the history of World War Two. It was opened on November 7th 1944 when the war was still on. Museum exhibition is located in 30 halls and there are 80,000 unique items: a wide collection of documents and photographs, arms used by the army and partisan detachments, including home-made cannons, etc. There is a diorama of the concentration camp in Maly Trostenets, the third largest camp in Europe.
